Looking for a photographer for their wedding, this couple contacted me to shoot their images in the great outdoors. A place far from everything in the mountains, everything I love! A secular wedding in a mountain inn, the only thing missing was the sun. Unfortunately, it wasn't there that day. The arrival at the inn was a foretaste of autumn, a climb through rain and fog.
Once on site, it's time to get my bearings: in the drizzle and with a light mist coming in, I slalom between the pastures and the forest.
I'd already done a digital scout via Google Maps &co.In this month of October, light levels are dropping rapidly, especially under cloudy skies, so I shared my observations regarding the “light” forecast during the group and couple photos, but unfortunately the darkness seemed to arrive quite early.Much to my surprise, the bride and groom managed to bring the day's schedule forward by an hour, which was a great help during the couple's session.A session against the clock, against the cold and rain between the forest and a stream, well accompanied by umbrellas.
The ceremony began and so did the rain, which fortunately eased off for the group photos. We had a beautiful view of the mountains and the trees in full moult. Next came the couple's session, in which the bride overcame the cold brilliantly.
After the aperitif, a few dance steps outside to warm up for the ball opening. A magical moment, with the bride and groom relaxed and the view photogenic.
